WIP Wednesday
Here is my Sliced Coin Quilt from the Dont Call Me Betsy tutorial.
And for my other quilt I took inspiration from Jeni at In Color Order with her Plus Quilt Tutorial.
It was a productive week considering how little time I've had to dedicate to sewing. I managed to get these 2 quilt tops pieced together. This coming week they'll have a back sewn up and hopefully basted. Basting is my least favourite part of quilting so it usually takes longer as I build myself up.
You can see that it was blowing a gale Monday when I took the photos. Wasn't the best day for it.
I'm linking up with Freshly Pieced for WIP Wednesday.

Those are both gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat Melissa Said. I also really really like the colors you chose on that plus block quilt; it's got a nice, breezy feel to it even without the wind :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, I am so impressed that you have two tops complete in a week! That is amazing. Hobbs fusible batting is your basting friend :-)
ReplyDeletelove the plus quilt:) lovely fabrics. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! I will definitely being checking out the Hobbs fusible batting!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tops! Basting is also my least favorite part of the quilting process along with starting the quilting. That's probably why I've had a top sitting on the back of my couch for the better part of August!
